Our Journey in Temperance House

When we took over Temperance House in September 2021, we knew we had a lot of work to do getting the space ready to use, have a look at our Facebook for pictures of our progress.

May 2023- WE ARE OPEN!

• Our official opening was 5th August 2023, thank you to all who came along to celebrate with us

• We have opened another wee cafe (the room which used to be our office)

Update July 2022

• We are still encountering issues but heading toward an opening date. We are now not naming a date at we feel this is a jinx! But watch this space................

January 2022

Our Team and Volunteers have had fun wielding paintbrushes, rollers and other associated tools to make an inviting space.

Our big issues have been -

• uneven floors (making door hanging challenging) but our wonderful team player Mike has been a huge asset overcoming these challenges.

• Heating, it has taken a while to access the necessary part to ensure a working boiler (as of 31 Jan we are fired up!)

• No heating meant a huge delay in paint drying​
